Babies and toddlers have probably the most delicate bodies. Parents would sometimes even fret whenever their kid starts sneezing. It is almost a necessary feeling that something might go wrong. However, as a baby reaches his or her toddler years, parents should start loosening up since the body begins to toughen itself. Thus, understanding and knowing everything there is to know about your toddler’s health is vital.
Consulting With Your Toddler’s Pedia

This is why in this stage, children are very active and are prone to pain and some minor accidents.
Keep Calm During Accidents
There is nothing to be panicky about seeing your child bump or hit his or head. These minor things can sometimes help your toddler identify pain. Study Your Kid’s Communication Patterns
There are also some cases when toddlers find it hard to communicate what they are feeling. Thus, you are left guessing if they feel pains. Toddlers may experience difficulty in communicating in words but parents surely can tell if they are hurt through the child’s facial expressions. Observe your child carefully so that you can exactly tell whether there is something wrong with him. This is why parents should know their child really well for them to get certain situations in control.
Gone are the days where at least one parent stays at home with the children to see to their needs and listen to their issues which only parents can help with. Long gone are the days where if both parents cannot stay with the children, significant others like an extended family member would be there to help out. Today, the economic and financial problems that many families face obligate the parents to spend more and more of their time trying to find ways to feed the family. Most of the time it would be the older children who would be left helping out with their younger siblings.
This only leaves so very little time for the parents to spend time with the children. This is where the question of quantity versus quality would come in. So which is better, quality time with the kids, or quantity time?
The most prevalent conflict for the parents to face would be which they should be obligated to deal with first, their time with the kids or the time spent at work. For those who would have no choice but to spend less time with their children, they can make sure that if they do find the time, they would make the most out of it.
The children should be made to understand the difficulties their parents have to go through to keep them in school, have food on the table and a roof over their heads. However, this would also mean that the children would be jealous of the time with their parents. They would expect their parents to drop everything to spend that time with them.
In fact, this would mean that they would be able to do more things together than they would normally do. They would get to do more together for this would be the only time they would have together that would really count. They do activities that would pull them closer together; they could talk about things where others would simply delay because they had the time. They could become friends rather than have that distinctive line between parent and adult.
Children and parents who spend more quality time with each other do not even need to be together. The children and parents would be able to communicate with each other. Normally children and parents would skip the communicating altogether for they hold on to the comfort that they would have a lot of time left together and things could wait. Children who spend quality time with their parents know they can give their parents a call at any time and they could cut down through the chase and know what to talk about.
Many times quality time could be made into an excuse for parents not to spend time with their kids. It is important that parents spend time with their kids as time flies, literally. Before they would even realize it, the only relationship they would have with their children would be a biological one.
