Over the NBA, the Chicago Bulls sealed their place at the top of the Eastern Conference after overcoming the Washington Wizards 130-122 at the United Center.
It was a neck and neck contest from the onset, but the Bulls managed to take the opener 37-32, before taking the next quarter with a 2-point margin that led to their 73 to 66 advantage at the intermission. The Hosts then remained consistent and widened the gap to 12 points by beating the visitors 34-29 in the 3rd quarter.
However, the Wizards did not give up and took the final by a 4-point lead which was not enough as Chicago registered their 9th victory in a row. The Bulls will fly to Dallas to play against the Mavericks on Sunday, whereas the Wizards will travel to Orlando to line up against the Magic on the same day.
