Nearly 50 million Iranians fully vaccinated against COVID-19

The Iranian Health Ministry said on Sunday that about 50 million citizens have received both doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

According to Tasnim News Agency, new figures released by the Health Ministry indicate that more than 110.57 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered in the country as of Sunday, with over 49.37 million people having been fully vaccinated.

While more than 40 million coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far, the total number of people tested positive has exceeded 6,154,800 following the detection of 2,289 new cases since Saturday.

Of the new cases detected in the past 24 hours, 357 patients have been admitted to the hospital.

At least 5,969,500 patients have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far or have been discharged from hospitals across Iran.
