Iran’s president urges trial of Trump for assassination of Gen. Soleimani

Iran’s President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi urged that the former President of the US, Donald Trump, should be brought to justice for the heinous crime of ordering the assassination of top Iranian anti-terror Commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani.

According to Tasnim news agency, addressing a commemorative ceremony on the second anniversary of martyrdom of General Soleimani, held in Tehran on Monday, President Raeisi said Trump, as the “prime aggressor, murderer and criminal” in the heinous crime of assassination of the Iranian general, must face trial and receive the maximum punishment.

The president also reminded all American statesmen that if Trump and his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo do not stand trial in a fair mechanism for the criminal attack on General Soleimani and are not given a punishment, the Islamic Ummah (community) will undoubtedly take revenge.
