This happened about 16 years ago when I was in college. I did not realize what was going on until I read an article about Meth production yesterday.
We were taking a biology class together. He was probably about 15 to 20 years older than me and could very well be in Jail by now.
He always smelled like cat urine – and I mean in a really bad way.My curiosity has often been stronger than social taboos so I asked him about it.
He told me that he lived with an old lady who had a lot of cats. That never quite rang true with me but I never knew why until I read the article mentioned previously. i couldn’t understand how day after day his clothes would smell so strongly. Did he never wash them?
Turns out that one form of meth production produces a smell similar to cat urine. When I read that, the memory came rushing back. I cannot be one hundred percent that this is what happened but I am pretty sure it is.
You have probably heard what happens to the teeth of a meth addict, much less do they care about their gum tissue health. But, if they did, they would probably want to get a Hydro Floss Oral Irrigator. Gum disease is the number one cause of tooth loss, as you might know.
There is an excellent book on dental health entitled: What You Should Know about Gum Disease, ISBN: 978-0981485508. Pick up a copy for the folks in your life – and NO, they do not have to be “meth heads” to benefit!
