Playa de los Pocillos

Situated in the suburb of the lively Puerto del Carmen is the little beach town of Playa de los Pocillos.Playa de los Pocillos is a lot more quiet and reserved than Puerte del Carmen even though its quite near. This is the reason why the resort is so popular with families with small kids.
Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote

The resort is to the south of the capital Arrecife – 10 miles away – and found on the south east of the island.

Popular with British tourists, the resort is packed full of private villas and self catering apartments.Playa de los Pocillos is centred around a long sandy beach surrounded by a promenade where all the shops and restaurants are based.

Local attractions include Green Caves and amazing boat rides on the catamaran. The Green Caves were made by a volcano eruption 3000-4500 years old.The trip around the caves is around 2km long and requires strong shoes. There are also parts in the cave that requires a lot of bending down so is not advised for people with back difficulties.Being once a haven to slave hunters and pirates, the cave is rich with local history. It also contains ‘The Secret of Lanzarote’ which we’d love to tell you about but we’re sworn to secrecy – needless to say it was amazing.Hotels Puerto Del Carmen Lanzarote
