Men’s Fashion Advice – Smart Casual Mens Fashion Tips

Whilst it is nice to dress up for special occasions and you probably have to wear a suit and tie for work most days, for some less formal occasions, the smart casual dress sense can open the door for men to make their own unique style. Whether it is for a lunch time business meeting or a date, dressing in a stylish but casual way can create a good impression and getting it right can be a lot more difficult and need more thought than simply putting on a suit and tie. A few key pieces in your wardrobe can make all the difference

Jeans are a great place to start. You may think that denim falls under the more casual category, but think again. Today’s jeans from designer brands are high quality chic design garments that easily fit into the smart section of your wardrobe, and teamed with the right shirt, jacket and shoes can become very stylish and up to date. Jeans are available in a wide spectrum of colours and finishes. You should buy a couple of pairs at least in lighter and darker colours to wear for the different times of year, just as you would a chino. Don’t be put off buying a ‘distressed’ look jean, again these can look dynamite when dressed up with a jacket. If you have the figure opt for a slimmer leg as these are usually more stylish than formal than their baggy counter parts.
When it comes to the top half, season and occasion play a part hear. For a business meeting go for either an open neck shirt, possibly striped or patterned, or maybe thin polo neck top (plain colour) and a more formal jacket. For a less formal look think about a V neck jumper or a fitted cotton shirt. For winter, a scarf makes a great accessory, and for summer don’t forget the all important sun glasses.

Moving down to your feet now, think finishing this look with a pair of brown leather or suede lace up shoes with a thin sole and a bit of style to them, maybe a more pointed toe variety.

Think about your accessories! Co ordinate your belt with your shoes, brown distressed leather and a simple buckle, maybe a pair of designer socks, and if it’s a date your on, absolutely a pair of designer underwear. Also think about things like your wallet, a stylish leather wallet looks so much better than the Hessian Velcro one your got from the out door shop! And just as one final suggestion, whilst I do advocate being responsible and prepared, the condom ring on your wallet looks terrible so carry your supplies elsewhere!
